Jessica Clemencon of the No. 2 Windsor Lancers has received top honours as Ontario University Athletics (OUA) announces the 2010-11 West women's basketball major award winners and all-stars.
Clemencon, a second year forward with the Lancers, has been named the OUA West Player of the Year. She led the league in scoring this season, recording 419 points through 22 games, while adding 45 assists and a 85.6% free throw percentage.
Defensively, the 2010 OUA & CIS rookie of the year chipped in 16 steals and 44 blocks. For the second year Clemencon is an OUA West First Team All-Star.
Joining Clemencon in the all-star ranks is
Miah-Marie Langlois who was named a second team all-star. The Windsor, Ontario native averaged 11.6 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, and 3.55 assists per game to place her 7th overall in the OUA.
Named to the OUA West all-rookie team was first year guard
Korissa Williams. Williams averaged 15 minutes per game, and ended the season with the team's second highest shooting percentage at 54.67%.
