Men's Hockey
Kevin Hamlin and his #3 ranked Windsor Lancers men's hockey team will host the McGill University Redmen this Friday at South Windsor Arena in a special mid-day community outreach event. The Lancers, in partnership with the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board, will host a re-match of last year's Queen's Cup championship game in front of local students from around the region who'll be bused in specially for the game. The event will support the team's "Lancers against Bullying" annual campaign geared towards Windsor-Essex students.

The game can be viewed live at www.oua.tv or heard on CJAM at 99.1 FM.

Men's & Women's Basketball
Both the Lancer men's and women's programs are 2-0 to start the season as they head up to the GTA for a pair of games against the Toronto Varsity Blues and the Ryerson Rams.

In their home opener this past Saturday, the No. 1 Lancer women defeated the Guelph Gryphons 76-53 after receiving their CIS championship rings in a pre-game ceremony. Captain Korissa Williams had an outstanding night leading the Blue & Gold with a game high 21 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals.

On the men's side, the No. 4 Lancers also defeated the Gryphons in their home opener 92-75.  The Lancers were led by Rotimi Osuntola Jr and Khalid Abdel-Gabar who each had a game high 17 points. Osuntola Jr. also had the games only double-double contributing 10 rebounds in the win.

Windsor will play Toronto on Friday night and Ryerson Saturday evening, with the women tipping off at 6:00pm, and the men at 8:00pm. Both double headers can be seen live on www.oua.tv.

Women's Volleyball
The Lancers will look to get back in the win column this weekend after falling to the Western Mustangs 3-1 in their lone game last week. This weekend, the Lancers (2-5) will host the Lakehead Thunderwolves (0-5) on Friday night, and the Ottawa Gee Gees (3-2) on Saturday afternoon at the St. Denis Centre.

Battling some injuries, Windsor has struggled to close out many of their sets and have dropped some very tight contests by mere points. The Lancers will look to leading scorer Shannon Dean and senior Hannah Robson to lead the charge against the Thunderwolves and Gee-Gees and help the Blue & Gold earn the wins.

Both volleyball games can be seen live on www.oua.tv.

Women's Hockey
Windsor is back on the road after a one game stop at South Windsor Arena last Friday night. Windsor defeated the visiting York Lions 5-2 and are now 6-1-1 on the season and in third place in the OUA standings.

Rookie forward Shailyn Waites registered her first CIS career hat trick in the win, while Candice Chevalier added the other two tallies in the win. Goaltender Marissa Kozovski made 24 saves in net for the Blue & Gold.

Windsor will face the Ryerson Rams (4-4-0) on Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm before heading across town on Sunday to play the Toronto Varsity Blues (5-2-0).
