Ontario University Athletics has announced that Lancer Volleyball's
Shannon Dean has been named to the OUA women's volleyball all-rookie team.
A native of Whitby, Ontario, Dean was a key addition to the Lancer roster last summer.
In her first season with the Lancers, Dean was second in the team in scoring and accumulated 149 kills, 167 digs, and 180 points in 65 games played, averaging 2.8 points per game.
A product of Henry Street HS, Dean was one of the top rookies in the province finishing second overall amongst rookies in kills, kills per set, and points per set, and will be a big part of the Lancer Women's Volleyball program for years to come.
“Shannon had a great year for us and showed she is going to be a force as she grows in the OUA,” said head coach
Lucas Hodgson. "We look forward to seeing her to continue to grow within our program over the next couple of years as well."
Congratulations Shannon on an outstanding rookie season.
