The Windsor Lancers once again got involved to help McDonald's Restaurants celebrate McHappy Day in support of Ronald McDonald children's charities.
This year, Lancer athletes Jessica Shepley from women's volleyball and Austin Kennedy from football were joined by Lancer coaches Joe D'Amore, Lucas Hodgson and Brett Lumley and his family as they helped served up sandwiches at a local McDonald's Restaurant.
McHappy Day is a nationwide effort used to help raise funds in support of Canadian children in need.
One dollar from the sale of every McMuffin sandwich, Happy Meal and Big Mac sandwich is donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario and other local children's charities across Canada.
The Lancers were at the McDonald's Restaurant located at the corner of Huron Church and College Ave on Wednesday afternoon between 1:00-3:00pm.
The Department of Athletics would like to thank everyone who came out and supported them and this important cause!
