The Windsor Lancers Men's Basketball team was eliminated from the playoffs on Saturday following a 77-67 loss to the McMaster Marauders in the OUA West Semi-Finals in Hamilton.
On Saturday, the Marauders jumped out to an early lead as they scored the first six points of the game for the early advantage. Windsor would quickly get back in it with a couple jump shots and a free throw to cut the lead to 6-5.
The quarter would end after a back and forth battle, with the Marauders leading 15-12.
The two evenly matched teams battled it out in the second. Responding to each teams' baskets through the beginning of the quarter, McMaster maintained their slight lead at 26-20 in the first half.
After a McMaster timeout, McMaster's Aaron Redpath would sink his fifth basket of the game for 10 points, helping extend the home team's lead to nine at 32-23.
Following another timeout, the Lancers would make a comeback, scoring two three's and a jumper for an 8-0 run to get within one of the Marauders' lead.
McMaster would knock down a three-pointer in the dying seconds of the quarter to take the 37-33 lead at half.
The second half started off with the Lancers going on a 7-0 run to give themselves a 40-37 lead.
After that, both teams would fight for the lead, with Windsor up by three, before a McMaster three-pointer would tie up once again. Both teams would head into the last quarter tied at 51-51.
The Marauders came out in the fourth with the first five point forcing Windsor to call an early timeout. McMaster would go up by seven points at 60-53, but the Lancers would come back, keeping the score close throughout the fourth.
At the 3:30 mark, Windsor's
Enrico Diloreto was whistled for a technical foul. It would be his fifth foul and put him on the bench for the remainder of the game.
With both teams unable to secure a lead, a timeout would be called with 1:19 left in the game with the Marauders up by one with a score of 68-67. The Marauders would then go on a 5-0 ryn to take the 73-67 lead.
The last 30 seconds of the game were filled with fouls and free throws as both teams were in bonus, and the Marauders would hold on for the 77-67 win.

Josh Collins had 13 points while
Evan Matthews, Junior Osuntola and
Lien Phillip all recorded 11 points for the Lancers.
