Kevin Hamlin, Head Coach of the Windsor Lancers Men's Hockey team is pleased to announce the additions of
Joe Rogalski,
Kenny Bradford and
Curtis Longland to his program for the second half of the 2012-13 season.
Rogalski, a native of Lancaster New York, played five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Sarnia Sting and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. He had a career best season in 2010-11 grabbing 7 goals and 25 assists, good for 32 points in 63 games for the Sting.
The 6'2” rearguard was a member of the Western Conference squad in the 2010 OHL All-Star Classic before being picked by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 6th Round (152nd overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
He began the current season in the East Coast Hockey League with Bakersfield Condors where he played in 7 games.
“We are thrilled to be able to add Joe our line-up for the second half of the season”, commented Coach Hamlin. “He is someone we really coveted in the summer and we're excited that he is coming to play for us at the University of Windsor. Joe is an extremely talented defenseman who'll be a cornerstone of our blueline for years to come.”
Kenny Bradford is a native of St. Catharines, Ontario who played three seasons for the St. Catharines Falcons in the GOJHL. Last season, Bradford captained the Falcons to their first ever Sutherland Cup Ontario junior B championship.
The 6'2 defenseman, known for his booming shot and physical style of play, recorded 14 goals and 37 points in 39 games in 2011-12.
“Kenny is a physical player who adds great size and skill to our blueline,” added Coach Hamlin. “He is another guy we pursued in the off-season and we think he'll be an important part of our program going forward.”
Longland, a native of Dunnville, Ontario, was a teammate of Bradford's with the St. Catharines Falcons where he also spent three seasons.
The 6'0” forward tallied 27 goals and 60 points in 49 games in 2011-12 as the team's leading scorer. He is a former 6th round pick (117th overall) of the Barrie Colts where he played one season in 2007-08.
"Curtis is another solid addition to our group of forwards,” commented Hamlin. “He brings scoring touch to our line-up and adds more depth to our team for the second half of the season.”
