Five Lancers named OUA all-stars

The Windsor Lancers are pleased to announce that five Lancer football players have been named OUA all-stars at their respective positions.
 
Fifth year senior Jordan Brescacin was named an OUA first team all-star as an inside receiver. Brescacin broke two OUA records in his final year of eligibility, putting his name on most single season receptions with 68 and most career receptions with 192.
 
Quarterback Austin Kennedy led the nation in passing yards and threw for an impressive 18 touchdowns this season and repeats his 2011 performance on the offensive second team.
 
Punter Dan Cerino was also named to the offensive second team after averaging 40.5 yards per punt through eight games in the regular season.
 
On the defensive side of the ball, cornerback Shea Pierre and halfback Matt McGarva were also named second team all-stars.
 
Pierre finished the season with 21 total tackles in seven games played while McGarva had 22 total tackles in four games played. This is the second straight season McGarva has been named an OUA all-star.
