Dennis Fairall, head coach of the Lancer track & field team, is pleased to announce the addition of Emily Omahen for the 2012-13 season.
Omahen is a native of Windsor, Ontario and is a member of the Windsor Legion Track Club.
A versatile athlete with strong credentials, Omahen is the 2011 OFSAA silver medallist and the Canadian youth champion in the long jump, where she holds a personal best of 5.66m.
She is also a talented sprinter who is expected to become a member of the Lancer sprint team and relay squads.
“We are really excited that Emily has chose to further her studies and athletic career here at Windsor,” commented Fairall. “She is a talented athlete and we look forward to her being a part of our program in the coming years.”
Omahen will study Biological Sciences in the Fall.
