The Windsor Lancers Men's Basketball team dropped their final game of the 2011 NCAA/OUA Tip-off Classic summer series to the Saint Louis University Billikens 98-57 on Monday night at the St. Denis Centre.
The Billikens, led by legendary head coach Rick Majerus showcased a very aggressive and potent offensive attack that proved to be too much for the Lancers to handle on this night.
In the first half, after the Lancers jumped out to an early 8-7 lead, the Billikens responded with an impressive offensive surge that helped them built a commanding 15-point lead.
Windsor struggled to convert their chances at the offensive end as they fell behind by 19 points at the break.
The second half was all St. Louis as their size in the post and solid outside shooting saw them take complete control of the game. They extended their lead to 25 points and cruised to the 98-57 win.
The Billikens had five players in double digits and were led by Kwamain Mitchell and Mike McCall who each had 16 points.
Windsor shot 41% on the night as they finished 21 for 51 from the field.
The Lancers now have a month off in their pre-season schedule before they face Humber College on September 24th in Chatham at the St. Clair College campus.
