Box Score The No. 9 Lancer women's hockey team lost their second road game of the season 3-1 to the No. 6 Brock Badgers.
With the loss, Windsor's record is now 10-9 as they sit in sixth place in the OUA.
Five minutes into the first period, the Badgers capitolized on the power play, as Maja Samborski and Karolyn McIlmoyle setup freshman Leigh Vanderveen who beat Windsor goaltender
Jamie Tessier.
The Lancers would tie the game 1:07 into the second period when
Candace Kourounis beat Brock goaltender Beth Clause for her seventh goal of the campaign and fourth power play marker.
The Badgers would take a 2-1 lead 4:45 into the third period as Kelly Walker buried a shot past Tessier for her OUA leading 17th goal and 32nd point of the season.
Brock added another power play marker at 13:28, when Melissa Geary put a shot by Tessier to secure the game for the Badgers.
Tessier registered 24 saves in the loss, while Clause turned aside 18 of 19 Windsor shots for the victory.
The Lancers will now return home for a pair of games against the Queen's Gaels on Saturday and UOIT Ridgebacks on Sunday. Both games are at 4:10pm at South Windsor Arena, home of Lancer women's hockey.
