The Windsor Lancers are pleased to announce that Isaac Kuon and Nigel Johnson-Tyghter from the men’s basketball program have been named OUA all-stars, as announced by the OUA today.

In addition, outstanding rookie point guard Josh Collins has been named to the OUA all-rookie team.

For the Lancers, Isaac Kuon’s dynamic play has been showcased through much of the season as he helped lead his team to another regular season division title en route to being named an OUA first team all-star.

As one of the OUA’s most talented scorers, he finished ninth in the province in scoring, averaging 18.1 points per game. His impact on offense helped his team earn a CIS top ten ranking in Canada in every week this year.

Nigel Johnson-Tgyhter was also recognized for his dominating presence in the post as he was named an OUA second team all-star. His size and skill made him arguably the toughest match-up in the province down low this year in addition to his contributions rebounding the ball.

Johnson-Tyghter averaged 12.9 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game this season in conference play and helped his team to an impressive 17-win season in the tough OUA West division.

For rookie point guard Josh Collins, his impressive contributions on the court also did not go unnoticed as he was named to the OUA all-rookie team.

The native of Thornhill, Ontario established himself as the starting point guard from the opening game this year and never looked back. He averaged 22.5 minutes per game and contributed 6.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.

Most impressive however was his passing ability as Josh finished third in Canada in assists with 114, including an average of 5.2 assists per game.
