Windsor Basketball splits games at Notre Dame Christmas Invitational

Evan Matthews scored 11 points against Ohio-State Mansfield
The No. 7 Lancer men's basketball team split a pair of games at the Notre Dame Christmas Invitational in South Euclid, Ohio.
 
After almost six weeks off from competition, Windsor lost the tournament opener 73-67 to Lake Erie College. The Lancers held a 43-30 lead at the half, but faltered in the second being outscored 43-24.
 
Josh Collins scored 19 points and Monty Hardware added 18 points for the Lancers.
 
Windsor rebounded to beat Ohio-State Mansfield 107-73 on Thursday afternoon. The Lancers scored over 50 points in each half to dominate the winless OSM team.
 
Monty Hardware led the Lancers with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Rookies Jeremy Butler and Evan Matthews had solid games with 11 points each and Matt Nuna added 10 points for Windsor in the win.
 
Windsor resumes regular season action this Wednesday in London against the Western Mustangs at 8:00pm. The Lancers return home on Saturday January 8th when they host the Brock Badgers at 8:00pm at the St. Denis Centre.
